Welcome to 1 Middlegate Holiday Cottage, Burtersett, Hawes

Enjoy a holiday in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the delightful, peaceful hamlet of Burtersett which stands on the south side of Wensleydale with magnificent views up and down the dale. Situated just a gentle 1 mile stroll from the bustling market town of Hawes, Burtersett is ideally situated for exploring all aspects of the Yorkshire Dales whether walking, climbing, cycling or driving. The geographical location and natural history combine to provide a stunning array of activities. The Lake District is less than 1 hour drive away.

1 Middlegate is a renovated 19th Century stone miner’s cottage reflecting the history of the hamlet. Full oil fired central heating, plus an electric fire for those chilly out of season evenings, makes this a very cosy cottage.

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. The stairs to the bedrooms are fairly steep as they are part of the original cottage. There is an upstairs bathroom with wc and sink.

Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave, washer drier and ample cooking utensils. The separate lounge has TV and video. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, sink and wc.

The cottage has a secure cycle shed with enough room for 4 bikes.

One well behaved pet is welcome. This cottage is non smoking.
